in a authentic 17th Century Witch Burning....

The
Troops
As
it turns out, the people of Newport burned 17 witches between 1602
and 1652. Since then, not much has happened so why not make a celebration
of the glory days of the past. Some called it, Happy to be Flemish
day. Every other year the small mid-evil town transforms itself
into the real thing. This time, the historic evocation of Jeanne
Panne, also known as the witch of Flanders was publicly accused
of being a witch, procecuted and sentenced to death by fire. Signs
around town said, "Heksen Verbrandin 21:30"

inferno which nearly fried the building behind it.....

nice lady went through hell earlier in the day. She was publicly
accused of being a witch, ran around town in a horse drawn cage,
sentenced to death and burned at the stake.....

Museum
I
coundn't resist stuffing myself to look like I should be standing
out in front of a place called the fry museum. The woman laughing
at the ticket booth said that fry's don't make you fat, it's the
mayo. In Belgium they love fries covered in mayonaise,
they wouldn't go down otherwise. Don't forget to visit the french
